I’ve not received the automated registration email/annotation notification emails
As these emails are automatically generated they are sometimes considered spam by IT firewalls and are usually filtered out from users’ inbox. Please contact your internal IT team and request that these email addresses are white-listed:
The registration email I've received directs me to the login screen but I'm yet to set my login details
This will be due to the hyperlink in the registration email expiring - they expire after 72 hours for security purposes. Please contact the Solution Operations team (firstname.lastname@example.org) in order to have a new registration email sent to you.
Registration page wiping information
On Internet Explorer (IE), the page to register user details for Opus 2 is often wiped when users click on “Create Account”. This is due to IE and does not occur on Chrome – if you experience this problem please try using Google Chrome to access Opus 2.
I’ve forgotten my login details/I have been locked out of my account for entering incorrect details - how to I regain access my account?
You can click the “Forgotten Password/Memorable Word” which will allow you to reset your details once you have answered the security questions correctly with the same answers as you assigned when you created the account. If you are unsure of these details too then please contact one of the administrators of the workspace will be able to unlock your account and reset your details if required.
The login details on my browser are not working
When logging into Opus 2, if your browser auto-fills the username and password, these may not necessarily be the appropriate login credentials. We've seen in some instances the browser may be auto-filling the Opus 2 platform with login details for other websites you have visited and saved login details for. It may also be that you have entered your username and the password has then been auto-filled by the browser, so if you are typing your password after this then you may be adding characters to what the browser has already populated.
You may therefore need to delete any information that has been pre-populated and then type your access information in yourself.
I’ve tried to access Opus 2 but am greeted with a blank page informing me that I’m not a member of any workspace
If you try to access Opus 2 but only see this message, this is due to a recent update in Google Chrome whereby the browser is recalling the first location that the user accessed – the registration page. Once you have registered this is not an area that can be accessed by you anymore and as the browser is recalling this location whenever a similar URL is entered, it informs you that you are not a member of any workspace.
To confirm this is the issue, you should open an incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+N) and try to log in. If logging in via this window is successful, then please clear your browser’s history (at least up to when you first accessed Opus 2) and you should then be able to log into the workspace as the browser will no longer remember the registration page or direct you to it.
I'm logging in on an iPad but it continuously rejects my memorable word
We understand this to be due to auto-capitalisation settings on iOS devices, whereby the first letter entered into a field is capitalised. e.g. if your memorable word is "abcdef", and the platform asks you to confirm the 2nd letter of your memorable word, by selecting "b" your iPad will enter "B" into the platform. As login credentials are case-sensitive this will frustrate your login attempts. Simply select Shift on your iPad's virtual keyboard (this should already be selected owing to the auto-capitalisation, so selecting the button should deactivate the capitalisation) before entering each letter from the memorable word.
