Creating annotations is easy in Opus 2 Hearings, simply click and drag over any section of text in a document or transcript and the annotation dialog will appear – write your note in the notepad as you would on a ‘Post-it’ and click save.

You can also create geographical annotations for drawings or handwritten text by drawing a box by left clicking and dragging your mouse around the section you wish to annotate. This type of annotation should only be used for drawings, pictures or anything else that cannot be OCR’d, as these types of annotations will not map across in the same way if the document is replaced. If you can highlight any text it is our recommendation to do so rather than use the geographical method of annotating.
