You can export documents out of Opus 2 as PDFs in one of two ways:

1. Firstly, once you have a document open, you can use the Print icon from the toolbar to either export or print the document.

Options include:

  • Pagination: If you want the pagination stamp included on the export/print.
  • Include Target Reference: If you have made any strategic hyperlinks to documents, this option will allow you to choose where the reference for the link should appear.
  • Annotations: Include annotations on the export/print.
  • Target Reference Font Size: sets the font size of the above strategic hyperlink references.
  • Include Highlights: Include highlighted sections on the export/print.
  • Include Cover Page(s): Include a cover page on the export/print.
  • Pages to Generate: Allows you to choose to print either the entire document, annotated pages only, or select a page range.

2. Secondly, from the Documents section, by right-clicking on the title of a document or a folder of documents and selecting Documents under the Export section

The Export dialogue box will then open and you can change the specifications as required:

  • Single PDF or Multiple PDFs with Index (zip): Single PDF will be the only option when exporting a single document. If exporting a folder or multiple documents then both options will be available. Single PDF will combine all selected documents into a single PDF file and this is intended to make printing easier, but please keep in mind the larger the folder you are trying to export the longer it will take (we would suggest that a folder of more than 500 pages may need to be split). Multiple PDFs will export each document as a separate PDF and also provide a web index.
  • Annotations: Select to include annotations on the document(s).
  • Pagination: Take the pagination stamps and any other stamps that may have been applied to the document(s).

Advanced options can be accessed via the Advanced… button in the lower-right, and include:

  • Include Target Reference: If you have made any strategic hyperlinks to documents, this option will allow you to choose where the reference for the link should appear.
  • Target Reference Font Size: sets the font size of the above strategic hyperlink references.
  • Include Highlights: Include highlighting from notes.
  • Include Cover Page(s): Include a cover page for each document in the export.
  • Filename Prefix: If using the Multiple PDFs export, this option will allow the documents to maintain their order when exported out of Opus 2 and viewed within a file manager.

Where you are processing a number of different large exports, you can select Export Manager which will launch in a new tab and allow you to see everything that is currently processing.
